Minds 03:52
You're slipping backwards tonight Finding your feet as you leave The sunset falling between your minds And as I see you tonight walking the shore at low tide What's left is dangling behind your minds Oh little dreamer the sea is on your side Those who have been there are whispering your song Out in the distance the ships are coming home Tonight, between, your Minds
2.
were you comfortable in your own skin? did you do what you wanted or what others told you to do? did they worm their way into your convictions with their insecurities and self-doubt until your knowing broke off in chunks on the floor and when you picked them up they didn't fit together anymore? your mind felt old and your body tired you cast your pearls before s wine and drank a little too much in the afternoons in the after life of your decisions made not by you but others' fear and you lived those years out burnt out fall out shout out to you for holding on for I saw you smashed out without and within your skin got itchy bitchy thoughts poked through sprawls of heaviness and ignited sparks flying catching hold again in defiance of those who were only trying to help but didn't know how I hear you make a living by your art now your terms now and then some success the newly scultptured you out of the dregs of the in-between years

They 04:36
They speak a language I don't understand They walk a walk I don't get, and I try their dance moves but I'm all left feet Did I miss the signs or did I miss the beat? They know something I don't know They get it right wherever they go There doesn't seem to be a map They just know where to go They speak a language.
4.
Hush don't tell the truth tell me lies Hust silence don't speak of pain Look at the view, listen to the birds, speak of journeys but Don't speak of tears Hush look ahead not behind Don't speak the words on your mind Head up and smile, if just for a while but Don't get too close and Don't speak of tears Tears, why must we hide them, deride them, decry them They make us softer and wiser and stronger Than before We're not alone, everyone has tears Tears will not kill you.
5.
Voiceless 05:46
How can I be me? How can I say what I want to say? How do I say it, what's the point anyway? Hasn't everything been said, been said? What if I never found out what I wanted to say? Worse still what if I have nothing to say? What would I be, would I be voiceless? What would I be, would I be voiceless?
6.
In a bar where members smile Warm bright lights togetherness Noone sees the man alone outside Since a child he's been outside Never been invited in, no one can remember him Though he tried a thousand times to make them take a bit of notice In the street it's dark and cold doesn't seem to have a home And he slowly walks away. Outside looking in, that's where he always is he's outside looking in Always far from where it's all happening And he just can't step inside. Finds a quiet place to be makes his art and takes his time slowly as he stops to stare, breathing in the new air Thinks he'll maybe get along, not try to impress anyone Doesn't know what he will find Only knows the road behind where in the street it's dark and cold Doesn't seem to have a home and he slowy walks away Outside looking in, that's where he always is he's outside looking in Always far from where it's all happening And he just can't step inside.
7.
Smug ignorant people in their bubble of bliss Keep their own happiness close to their chest Mind closed to different, eyes shut to despair All around their little world created by fear Call out for the nice people opening their doors To others less fortunate, others with less recourse Call out for Call out for the nice people
8.
Illuminate 05:20
Feel the sun illuminate the face of things to come Feel the sun illuminate a place where you can run Now it's time to tell the truth, time to take a stand Take responsibility, remember our humanity And not let evil have its way, we know what this can do Leaders come and leaders go like seasons through the year Leave their mark and consequences visible for years Now it's time to take a stand, now it's time to take a stand To take a stand Remember who we are, humans one and all Give a little love today it's all we've really got Close your eyes and feel the sun illuminate. Mmmmm

New Sandwich 05:46

you are the colour in snow you are the sweet air of new spring you make my heart grow you are you you've got rainbows under your feet you can run with the wind you push me further than the stars you are you you've got stars in your pocket you've got beauty in your tears you make my heart encircle you are you you are you you've got stars in your pocket
